How does subscription sharing work?

Think of it like giving premium gift vouchers to your closest family members.

Your family subscription gives you premium features and up to 9 (Family) or 24 (Family+) gift vouchers to share with other family members. Everyone with a ‘voucher’ can add photos and audio to their stories and access premium pages.

Can I be part of multiple families?

Yes! You connect directly with individual family members – your mum, dad, sister, cousins, in-laws – whoever you choose. Everyone creates their own unique network of family connections.

You might receive premium access from your mum’s subscription while also connecting with cousins who have their own subscription, and relatives who are on free accounts.

What if I have more than 25 family members?

No problem! You can connect and share stories with unlimited family members.

The 10 or 25 limit only applies to who gets premium feature access. Multiple family members can have their own subscriptions running simultaneously.

Are individual subscriptions available?

No, we only offer family subscriptions. This eliminates the awkward family discussions about who pays for what and who should get full access and who doesn’t.

Instead, one person can give premium access to 10 or 25 family members, making it simple for everyone to participate fully without cost barriers. Family subscriptions really set your family up for success – when grandparents, parents, and extended family can all share media-rich stories, you create a much more engaging and meaningful experience for everyone involved.

Can I change who gets premium access?

Yes! The subscription holder can adjust which family members receive premium access anytime from their subscription settings.

Can I try some of the premium features without paying?

Yes! Free accounts include a limited number of photo and audio uploads so you can experience how media enhances your family stories before deciding to upgrade.

Can free users see photos and audio in other people's stories?

Yes! Everyone can view all stories with photos, audio, and multimedia content. Free accounts just can’t create their own media-rich stories or access premium pages.

What happens if I reach my family member limit?

Simply upgrade from Family (10 members) to Family+ (25 members), or encourage another family member to start their own subscription. There’s no limit to how many family subscriptions can run simultaneously.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Your family will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your billing period, then revert to free accounts.

What happens to our stories if I cancel?

All your stories remain safe and accessible forever. You’ll just lose access to premium features like adding new photos and audio to future stories.

Can we change the subscription holder?

While you can’t change the subscription holder mid-term, you have complete flexibility when renewal time comes. Let the subscription expire, and any family member can start a new one with their own choice of premium users. This means no one gets locked into being the permanent family subscription holder.

I have a small family and don't need 10 seats — is this still good value?

Absolutely! Even with just 3-4 family members using premium features, you’re getting excellent value compared to individual app subscriptions. Plus, you have room to grow — include grandchildren, new in-laws, or close family friends who become part of your story-sharing circle.

Is the free subscription good enough as a long-term solution?

Yes, it’s more than good enough for many families!

We aim to provide a great experience, year after year, even with free accounts. But for the best experience, we recommend the Family or Family+ subscriptions, where additional pages can be accessed and media files can be saved directly in stories.

How can you provide a free subscription option?

Unlike many apparently ‘free’ services, Simirity’s free accounts are NOT funded by using your family’s data.

The cost of free accounts is supported by families who choose to upgrade to premium subscriptions.
